Product Spotlight: Dasani Drops Flavor Enhancers

So as we all know, losing weight means water, water, and more water. But for me I've found water is only a temporary solution to my hunger pangs. Its flavorless and just doesn't always make me feel full. Half of feeling full is tasting something. Today I found Dasani Drops. They're 0 calories!!! You put two drops into each 8 oz. of water, and it makes your water taste amazing! It tastes like juice but doesn't have any calories or make you bloat like juice would. It just makes getting in tons of water do-able and it gives you something to taste. I really like them! I got Cherry Pomegranate and Mixed Berry today and they are both great, especially Mixed Berry.
Hope this helps and let me know what you think of them!

Pro-Ana Ten Commandments

Widely known in the ana community as rules to live by.

1. If you aren't thin, you aren't attractive.
2. Being thin is more important that being healthy.
3. You must buy clothes, cut your hair, take laxatives, and anything else to make yourself look thinner.
4. Thou shalt not eat without feeling guilty.
5. Thou shalt not eat fattening food.
6. Thou shall count calories and restrict intake accordingly.
7. What the scale says is the most important thing.
8. Losing weight is good and gaining weight is bad.
9. You can never be too thin.
10. Being thin and not eating are true signs of power and success.

Pro Ana Diets

ABC Diet:

ABC Diet stands for "Ana Boot Camp Diet." Basically it works by using extremely low calories (every day is 500 calories or less, with one day of 800 calories for 50 straight days with random fasting days) and by tricking the body into not going into slow metabolic starvation mode because it is constantly switching up the amount of calories taken in from day to day. Honestly this one is really hard to follow. If you do it I commend you. I've never finished it personally. I'm currently doing the Skinny Girl Diet, (below) which is a bit easier because of the unlimited fruits and veggies.

Skinny Girl Diet:

The Skinny Girl diet is 700 calories or fewer per day, with the last day, day 30 a fasting day. It works in a similar way to ABC, switching up the caloric intakes daily to trick the body. This one is nice because you can eat as many fruits or veggies as you want without counting them. Just be careful that they're in their natural state. No fruit cups that are loaded with sugary syrups or olives that are soaked in oils and stuffed with cheese. This also incorporates working out at least 30 minutes a day 5x per week. Also, with ABC you simply cannot go over the calorie limit that day. With Skinny Girl you can, the rule is that you have to burn it off.

I AM GOING TO BE POSTING MY RESULTS ON SKINNY GIRL DAILY TO HELP KEEP ME ON TRACK AND SO YOU CAN SEE KIND OF WHAT TO EXPECT. (Although everyone is  different).

Let me know if you decide to begin one of these diets!

How to Hate Food

This is the hardest part to me. Especially if you're someone like I was. I loved food. It made me happy. I would judge how good a day was based on if I ate my favorite foods. That's why I was fat. That's why I'm still fat. Taco Bell chalupas were my favorite thing on earth. Guess what? I've still got proof of that. 180 pounds of it that I'm trying desperately to make disappear. So I've decided to make a list of tips and tricks about how to make yourself hate food.

  • Negative associations. Look at pictures of disgusting things- vomit, dead bodies, organs, brains, surgical procedures, etc. Things that will make you not want to eat. Its even better if you can associate them with specific foods. "Chocolate cake looks like diarrhea." "Lasagna looks like brains." "Spaghetti looks like organs." "This meatloaf looks like that rotten dead cat that got hit by a car." And so on.
  • Tell the food you don't need it. Open the fridge, look that block of asiago cheese in the face and say, "I don't need you to make me fatter than I already am." And walk away. Sounds silly, but its empowering.
  • Think about where the food came from. Dead cows, dead chickens, a cow's utter, a filthy corporation, etc. Food comes from disgusting places.
  • Think about what eating that food is going to do to your body. How fat it will make you.
  • If you have to eat, sit in front of the mirror (naked if you can, but not recommended if you don't live alone) and watch yourself eat it. You'll judge yourself and soon realize that it wasn't worth picking up the twinky.
  • Take your food and smash it up. I bet that snack cake looks pretty disgusting with the cream all exploded and the crumbs all mashed in a ball. Now tell yourself what an awful person you are for wasting that food just because you didn't have the self control to not even touch it. There are starving kids in Africa who could've eaten that. REAL STARVING KIDS WHO AREN'T FAT ASSES LIKE YOU.
  • If you cave and make yourself something, take salt, pepper, ground cinnamon, sugar, etc. and sprinkle it ALL OVER IT to the point where you can't eat it. This could also work with ketchup or mustard or something like that.
  • Look at pictures of raw meat or look up stories of people who got food poisoning. Food is gross.
  • Look at pictures of obese people. Reverse thinspo. This is what you'll become if you eat that piece of pizza.
  • Look at pictures of thin people. This is what you'll become if you maintain your self control.
These are just a few ways to make yourself hate food and realize how bad it is. Feel free to comment more ideas, tips, and tricks below.

Intro/About Me/About the Blog

My name is Lana. I'm 19 years old. And this is my pro-ana blog. I struggled with anorexia from ages 12-15, and then recovered. And by recovered I mean I got lazy, fell off the bandwagon, and started gaining weight (and haven't stopped gaining since then). I've been wanting to get back to ana, but I've been too lazy and haven't found the self control to stick with it. Also, I'm a classical singer and I've been really worried that ana would hurt my voice somehow. Excuses, excuses. Basically, in the past 4 years I've gained 80 pounds. I feel like this is a good pro ana blog to follow for everyone- from beginners who are at an all time high weight that they're embarrassed to even admit (much like myself) to people who are experienced ana girls who need motivation and constant distractions from food and who need or enjoy reading some always helpful ana tips. Basically I am going to use this blog to post about my progress, talk to others about their progress, post tips and tricks, post about any great low-cal foods I find, and of course to post thinspo- pictures, quotes, rules to live by, and diets, etc. This will also be a place to find ana buddies to help us stay on track. Let it be known that I am not promoting ana. I know that if you are here, on this blog, it is because YOU want this for yourself and/or can't help yourself but to live like this despite NOT wanting it anymore. I encourage anyone with an eating disorder to get help. But I am here to post about my experiences and if you are here, you are here by your own choice and at your own risk. Negative commentary will not be accepted. If you don't support pro-ana sites, please exit quietly.
